Sam Talari – Chairman
Sam, as a ubiquitous entrepreneur, has developed and managed several high-tech companies during the last twenty years. From 1985 to 1994, he ran PrymServ Inc., a Retail Service Integration Company that provided product solutions and integration for major retail outlets. His customers included the likes of K-Mart, Toys-R-Us, Sears, and Wal-Mart. As CEO, his primary duties were to market products and services to his Fortune 500 clients, and managing up to 500 employees. Under his guidance, PrymServ achieved impressive growth. In 1994, he founded Compusite Corporation, one of the first Internet Solutions Providers in the nation that offered large spectrum of Value Added Services to companies seeking greater presence on the Internet. He helped Compusite to grow from no revenue to an aggregated multi-million dollar company.
Sam started FutureTech Capital in 2001 to share his vision, knowledge and abilities with entrepreneurs around the world. With the help of skilled partners, advisors and affiliated fund managers, FutureTech Capital successfully turned an initial investment of $500K into $75M (FT Fund I).
In 2004, Sam founded OptiCon Systems, Inc., which is currently trading on the OTCBB under “OSYS”. OptiCon was the first leading national Fiber Optics Management Software currently run by 7 out of 10 telecom and communications companies.
Sam studied at the University of New Hampshire (computer science, math), University of Lowell (U-Mass) (computer science, engineering, and math) and has a Bachelor in Computer Science and master studies in finance.
S. Khan – CTO
Mr. Khan is a seasoned entrepreneurial executive with 10 years experience of coordinating sales, marketing, operations and leading research and development for global success of specialized electronic products covering diverse applications. He is a Chartered engineer with a strong technical bias representing the UK at the highest level as principle expert in his specialized field to develop published international industry standards.
Over the last 6 years, Mr. Khan has produced numerous papers through leading teams of international experts. His writing is globally approved and appears in published standards that industries follow worldwide and generate significant market opportunities. His combination of technical acumen, political diplomacy, drive and passion has produced significant business through independent industry approval.
Working in major markets that include Europe, US, Middle East, Asia and Africa, Mr. Khan’s experience and expertise allows him to identify key trends in emerging markets and subsequently capitalize with bespoke engineering solutions that now have become industry-standardized products and technologies. He has a great ability to project accurate and powerful visions to internal and external customers at all levels, successfully breaking through language and cultural business barriers.
Mr. Khan joins Hathaway in a part time capacity as VP of Business Development, Sales and Marketing with a view to becoming CMO when full time. His strengths and experience will allow Hathaway to expand its operation into new territories worldwide. His broad knowledge has allowed him to easily integrate with the core Hathaway team and his drive will not only result in the successful launch of existing technologies within the Hathaway portfolio but also help identify and enroll new opportunities from global markets that fall within the Hathaway strategic model.
With a Masters Honorary degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mr. Khan is an active member for the Institute of Engineering and Technology as well as the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers.
Sadruddin Currimbhoy - Chief Executive Officer & Chief Operations Officer
Sadruddin is a successful, seasoned international businessperson. Before joining Hathaway as its full-time COO in March 2007, Sadruddin served as General Manager at the Deccan Pacific group of companies in Fremont, CA since 2004, where he oversaw operations of the group's healthcare and real-estate interests. Prior to that, Sadruddin spent 5 years in Silicon Valley's venture capital industry, with East Gate Capital, a $60m SBIC Fund that invested in early stage semiconductors, communications and software companies.
Sadruddin has been running his own businesses since 1989, when he founded Solar Tech Industries Ltd., a Hong Kong-based export house with an annual turnover of $5m. He has traveled extensively within Europe, Asia and Africa, gaining grass-roots level experience in dealing with and respecting, different cultures, laws, and business methods. One of his larger projects included manufacturing and supplying, through a Dutch premiums company, Reebok brand watches, to Pepsico Benelux for a high-profile promotion. In 1995, he set up an Alarm Clock assembling factory in China. He also co-founded Dynabyte Pacific Ltd. – a hardware and software solutions provider in Hong Kong, 1992 – 1997. Sadruddin studied Business Administration and Computer Sciences, at the University of San Diego.
Christino L. Perez - Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Perez was appointed Chief Financial Officer and Director of OptiCon and its parent company, Hathaway Corporation, effective January 1, 2007. From September 2003 until the present, Mr. Perez has been self-employed as an independent consultant. Previously, Mr. Perez served as Chief Financial Officer, Secretary, Treasurer and Director of Resolve Staffing, Inc., a publicly traded company from October 2001 until September 2003. From October 1999 to June 2002, Mr. Perez was employed by Baumann, Raymondo & Company, P.A., Certified Public Accountants, with primary responsibilities for development of accounting and auditing services to small publicly held enterprises. Mr. Perez earned a BA degree in Accounting from the University of South Florida.
